LSC All-Conference Softball Announced

Maybe this is the way it is supposed to be when a conference names their top players. Of nine players named All-Conference in the Lake Superior Conference this morning, seven of the first team players are seniors led by Cloquet pitcher Katrina Korman.

Korman, a four-year starter for the Jacks, is joined by a star-studded cast of players that are impressive in their abilities. Megan Mullen and Julia Gilbert of Hermantown join Korman.
Along with Laura Bellemy and Stephanie Krause of Denfeld, Stephanie Carlson of Marshal, Crystal Bowen of Duluth Central and Superior natives Brittanee Blake and Emily Eisenmann.

Perhaps the biggest shock is that Cloquet shortstop and freshman, Dalyce Gustafson, was named to the second team along with four seniors and four juniors.

The second team includes; Anna Engelmeier, Ellen Folman and Sam Downey of Hermantown, Tiffany Hudack and Heidi Kolonko of Ashland Central’s Lisa Muehlberger, Kaitlin Bagley from Denfeld and Meghan Steel of Proctor.

Courtney Esse, an outfielder from Cloquet, was named honorable mention along with Jaymee Everson of Proctor, Nikki Loggergren and Kara Warren of Denfeld and Sarah Hendrickson of Duluth Central.
