Duluth Padres Fall To Hibbing 6-0

HIBBING, Minn. — The Hibbing Miners defeated the Duluth Padres 6-0 in a non-league amateur baseball game at Al Nyberg Field in Hibbing Tuesday night. The game was called after seven-and-a-half innings due to darkness.

Winning pitcher Chad Sohlman struck out eight batters in seven innings. He allowed five hits and one walk.

Hibbing’s Ben Povhe was four-for-four with a double and a triple. James Brubaker, Matt Erickson, Greg Maleska, and Micah McDonald contributed two hits each in a 14-hit attack by the Miners.

Losing pitcher Anthony Bush allowed three runs on 10 hits and two walks in six innings. He had two strikeouts.

Nick Moran had two hits for Duluth (8-9 overall, 3-4 league).
