Despite the nearly constant pouring rain, athletes from Cloquet, Hermantown, and Proctor as well as several other local schools participated in the annual UMD high school football camp at Malosky Stadium. More than 950 area athletes attend the camp each year.

In their fifth year of attending, the Cloquet Lumberjacks brought a total of 61 athletes to the three day camp. Cloquet attended the camp with a roster of just 16 in their first year of participating.
