Moose Lake Rebels Fall in Consolation Finals

The Moose Lake Area Rebels lost Wednesday afternoon to Mora by a score of 4-3 to drop the consolation championship in the North Shore Holiday Tournament.

The Rebels opened play Monday night with a 6-1 loss to Rice Lake Wisconsin. The Rebels lone goal int he loss was by Wyatt Lampel.

Tuesday in the consolation round it was the Rebels responding with a 5-2 win over Ely to move into the consolation championship game. Five Rebels scored in the victory, Devin Murphy, Richie Parzy, Bryceton Butkiewicz, Alex Erickson, and Cody Anderson all netted goal in the win.

The Consolation title game saw Nick Burski score the hat trick including the game winner as Mora defeated the Rebels 4-3 to take 5th place.

Devin Murphy scored twice for the Rebels in the loss while Nick Wegge scored the Rebels other goal. Burski’s hat trick came after the Rebels led 3-1 midway through the third period.
