Cade Pierson – NSO

It was Blake coming out on top, as they took down Duluth Marshall by a score of 3-1 in an all-around effort, seeing goals scored from three different players.

There were no goals scored in the first half from either team, but in the second half the goals would start to come.

Striking first was Marshall’s Joe Liberty, putting the Hilltoppers on top 1-0. That would be their only goal, and lead of the night.

Jackson Saunders of Blake scored at the 10:47 mark of the second period to tie the game. Sasha Shogren would then help Blake take the lead, scoring at the 15:04 mark.

Cully Olsen would extend Blake’s lead with a goal in the third period for the 3-1 victory.

Cullen Mudrak had 18 saves for Duluth Marshall, while Andrew Dietrich ended with 35 for Blake.
