Broman Starts First Collegiate Game

After averaging 49.6 points per game in his high school career at Lakeview Christian Academy, Bjorn Broman took his talents to Winthrop University, a D1 school located in South Carolina.

In his first action as a freshman, Broman got the nod to start, and went on to score 18 points, playing 36 minutes against Hampton University. Broman also ended with four rebounds, and no turnovers in the 102-95 win.

The Eagles will play Truett-McConnell Tuesday night, and Broman will look to build off his solid start.

Broman’s older brother, Anders, is also on the basketball team, but must sit out this season due to transfer rules. The states highest scoring duo will look to re-ignite the explosive attack they started, this time, for Winthrop University.
