Esko Girls Get Split On Wednesday

Rain caused a number of games to be postponed earlier this spring. On Wednesday the Esko softball team got a chance to make a couple of those games up as they split a double header with Eveleth-Gilbert and Duluth Central.

In the 11-0 loss to a very good Duluth Central team, the Eskomos were no-hit by Trojan pitcher Nikki Logergren who also fanned nine Esko batters. The Eskomos only had one base runner in the game who reached base as Logergren came close to a perfect game.

Abby Saralampi struck-out four and gave up 12 hits in a second game 9-6 win over Eveleth-Gilbert. Kari Palmi smacked a double to lead Esko to the win.
