Duluth East Escapes Hermantown

The Hermantown Hawks hosted the Duluth East Greyhounds on Wednesday evening, falling to the Greyhounds 1-0.

The closely contested match-up ended up being decided in the 21st minute of the game when Gretta Worley scored unassisted for the Greyhounds, putting them up 1-0, which was eventually the final score.

It was a battle in the nets for both goal keepers as Anna Mayer stopped 6 shots in the win for Duluth East while Carly Zierden blocked 9 in the loss for Hermantown.

With the victory, the Duluth East Greyhounds move to 9-6 on the season and will play their regular season finale on October 10th in Edina. Hermantown falls to 10-3-1 on the year and will host Duluth Marshall on October 9th.
