Kyle Gunderson pitched an eight hitter and the Carlton Bulldogs had just enough offensive fire-power to pick up a 4-2 win over the AlBrook Falcons in high school baseball on Friday afternoon.

In his stint on the mound, Gunderson struck out five, walked one and gave up just one earned run.

Zach Veno went 4-for-4 at the plate for the Bulldogs, including two doubles. Gunderson also smacked out a pair of hits for Carlton, while Chaise Jokinen recorded two hits and stole three bases.

Bryce Karppinen had three hits in leading AlBrook and Drew Janke and Paul Lisik both had two hits for the Falcons. Both Paul Lisik and Dominic Lisik doubled for the Falcons in the loss.
