Esko Softball Runs Into Pitching Buzzsaw

Esko had trouble solving the high octane pitching of Floodwood’s Molly Johnsen on Tuesday afternoon as the Lady Eskomos fell to the Polar Bears 18-7 in five innings.

Johnsen, a senior, overpowered the Eskomos at times and finished with 12 strikeouts. However, the fireballer, also walked six Eskomos in the game.

Johnsen also helped her own cause by going 4-for-5 with 5 rbi’s, while A’livia Juusola added a pair of hits including a double and she also had a pair of rbi’s.

Katyanna Emanuel led the Esko hitting attack with a 2-for-3 effort.
