Volleyball Recap 9-16-15

Recap of all volleyball action for September 15th, which consisted of 4 match ups in the Northland. 

In the first match up, the Cromwell Cardinals topped the South Ridge Panthers in a tightly contested match up that was decided on 5 matches. South Ridge won the first two games, 25-21 and 25-22. Cromwell then came storming back winning the final three, 25-21, 25-19, and 15-6. Bailey Gronner led the way in the win with 16 kills and 17 digs.

The Mercuries of McGregor fell to Crosby-Ironton in four matches, losing the first 17-25 and second 11-25. They won the third 25-19, but dropped the fourth 11-25. Sydney Jensen had 9 kills in the loss.

Hermantown fell in four matches to Greenway. After winning the first, 25-20, they dropped the next three, 25-16, 25-21, and 25-10.

Two Harbors and Silver Bay went 5 matches, with the Agates coming out victorious. Two Harbors won the first, 25-16, dropped the next two 12-25 and 23-25, but would win the fourth and fifth matches 26-24 and 15-13. Ayla Lemme led the Agates with 18 kills and 7 blocks.
