Thunder Drop A Pair To Central Lakes

Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College dropped a pair of games to Central Lakes Community College of Brainerd 7-0 and 9-8 on Tuesday afternoon in Brainerd.

Game one: The Thunder managed just three hits in the opener. Lisa Muehlberger (Duluth Central) doubled. Taking the loss on the mound for the Thunder was Katie Youngberg (Moose Lake-Willow River.)

Game two: The Thunder rallied to score six runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to tie the game 8-8, only to have Central Lakes pick up the game winner in the top of the sixth inning. Rachel Sanda (Cloquet) had a pair of hits and scored twice for the Thunder. Muehlberger, Ariel Morris (AlBrook), Youngberg and Kassi Neary (Hill City) all had a pair of RBI’s for the Thunder.

Overall the Thunder drop to 9-9 in MCAC conference play the Thunder are now 6-4.
