The Northland was packed with volleyball action Tuesday night, with 7 match-ups throughout the area taking place.

The Bombers of Barnum took on Onamia, winning 3 matches to 1. The Bombers took the first match 25-21, fell in the second 20-25, but won the next two, 25-21 and 25-18, to win their first game of the season. Hannah Tate and Alyssa Hunter led the way with 10 kills each.

The defending 7A section champions were in action for the first time this year, as the Carlton Bulldogs beat the McGregor Mercuries 3-0. They won the matches by scores of 25-12, 25-7, and 25-18. Macy Belich led the Bulldogs with 13 kills and Lindsay Ermatinger chipped in 9 kills.

Cook County defeated Cromwell in three straight matches, winning 25-11, 25-22, and 25-18. Meredith Sutton tallied 13 kills in the victory for the Vikings. Bailey Gronner had 5 kills in the loss for Cromwell.

Duluth East swept Hermantown in three matches, winning 28-26, 25-19, and 25-12. Alyssa Lauzon had 6 kills in the win and Alayna Baker tallied 19 set assists for the 1-3 Greyhounds.

The Eskomos from Esko topped Virginia in four matches, winning the first 25-21, dropping the second 15-25, and winning the next two, 25-17 and 25-22 to move to 3-1 on the year. Hannah Stark had 10 kills in the win and Karinne Houser had 9 kills and added 5 blocks.

The Proctor Rails topped the Agates of Two Harbors in four matches, losing the first 23-25 but winning the next three 25-7, 25-18, and 25-15 to move to 1-1 on the year. Abby Rohweder slammed down 11 kills in the win.

The Wrenshall Wrens moved to 3-1 on the season, topping Lakeview Christian Academy in three straight matches. They won 25-12, 25-21, and 25-21. Shana Laveau led the way with 10 kills and teammate Tatum Swanson added 9 kills.
