The Hermantown Hawks opened the section 7AA double elimination tournament Thursday with a pair of victories at Braun Park in Cloquet.

Hermantown defeated the Aitkin Gobblers 14-2 in the first game of the afternoon, and then the Hawks went on to beat MLWR 14-4 to move on in the tournament where the Hawks will meet Pequot Lakes Tuesday in Grand Rapids.
