Lumberjacks Crush Barnum

Cloquet’s Kassidy Steen hit a pair of home runs Monday afternoon as the Cloquet Lumberjacks defeated the Barnum Bombers in girls softball action at Braun Park in Cloquet. The game originally scheduled for Barnum was moved to Cloquet due rain we received on Sunday.

Steen helped the Lumberjacks with two huge innings as the Lumberjacks scored 6 runs in the top of the third inning, but the big blow was an 13 run top of the fourth inning.

Steen homered in the third and fourth innings and also added a single as she went 3-4 with 4 RBI’s. Lindsey Lamirande was also 3-4 with 2 RBI’s and Jade Benko also knocked in two runs as she went 2-3 in the victory.

Barnum’s Emma Koski had a solo Home Run in the bottom of the 4th inning as she went 2-3 on the day, and she also had 2 RBI’s.
