Lady Hawks Remain Unbeaten

The Hermantown Hawks girls softball team picked up two more wins this past weekend to move to 6-0 on the season as the Hawks defeated Mora by a score of 10-0 and that was followed up with a 9-5 victory over Big Lake.

Jordyn Thomas went 3-4 with a double and a home run and she also scored two runs and added 3 RBI’s in the win while teammates Ashley Irwin had a bases clearing double and Taylor Vold scored 3 runs and had 1 hit.

Breanne Thomas was the winning pitcher allowing 3 hits while striking out 7 batters.

Kylie Hoff pitched a complete game in the Hawks win over Big Lake, she allowed 12 hits and had 2 strikeouts in the win. She also went 2-4 from the plate with a RBI.

Jillayne Gilbert hit a 2 – run homerun and Courtney Martin had 3 RBI’s in the victory.

The Hawks move to 6-0 overall on the season and they will face Superior in Hermantown in a Lake Superior Conference contest Thursday afternoon.
