Skylar Gunderson pitched a complete game win and Erin Hawk and Lori Perich both knocked out three hits in leading the Proctor Rails to an 8-5 opening day win in Proctor on Friday.

Gunderson managed to weave her way through giving up 11 hits to the win on the mound and was supported by her team which cracked out 14 hits against Hibbing pitcher Katie Hooper.

Hawk, who had three hits including a double and a pair of RBIs, and Perich, who had three hits were big keys to the Rails offense.

However, Gunderson also helped her own cause with a pair of hits and two RBIs.

The Rails are now 1-0 on the season, while the Blue Jackets drop to 0-1.
