Baseball season is right around the corner and it looks to be another competitive season in Section 7AA.

The Cloquet Lumberjacks went 13-7 last year dropped a heartbreaker to Aitkin in the Section Finals, but they are looking to return to that spot and earn a trip to State. Cloquet returns the core from last years roster and they will look to make a statement in their first game, when they travel to Eveleth-Gilbert on April 13th.

The Esko Eskomos look to have a solid team on the field this year, with Nick Emmanuel leading the way. The Eskomos went 12-9 last season and will look to improve on that record. They open their season on April 9th against the Carlton Bulldogs.

The Hermantown Hawks lost in an upset to the Duluth Marshall Hilltoppers in last years first round. They will look to recover from that and ride the back of Kole Zuidmulder back to the State tournament. They ended their season 11-6 and will look to start this season off with a win when they play the Proctor Rails on April 10th.

The Two Harbors Agates went 7-7 a year ago, but will have a roster that contains 7 seniors on the roster. They will open their year on April 7th when they travel to play the Carlton Bulldogs.

The Proctor Rails had a disappointing 6-9 record last season and will look to get over .500 this year. They will have a mixture of experience and youth on their varsity roster this season. They open their season up on the road, traveling to Eveleth-Gilbert on April 7th.

The Duluth Marshall Hilltoppers made a run in last years playoffs, upsetting Hermantown in the first round and advancing to the final four teams in the Section. They ended with a 10-9 record and will look to make a run in the playoffs again this season. They begin the year on the road against Breck on April 11th.
