After being held to four points in the first half and three fouls Kassidy Steen scored 13 second half points and Kaylee McMillen was a perfect 12-12 from the free throw line as the Lumberjacks pulled away from a two point 24-22 lead at halftime to come away with the 11 point 51-40 win last night in Moose Lake.

Libbie Ring and Adri Jusczak each scored 8 first half point for Moose Lake-Willow River as the Rebels and the Lumberjacks kept things tight in the first half, the Rebels had three players foul out in the second half which sent the Lumberjacks to the free throw line.

With the Rebels in foul trouble and Steen playing well inside, the Rebels falling behind were forced to foul which gave the Lumberjacks the ability to seal the victory from the free throw line.

Steen led all scorers with 15 points, McMillen ended with 14 while Anna Fossen chipped in with 12 for Cloquet. Allie Wojtysiak and Hazel Ericson each added 3 points and Kendra Kelley and Nicole Blatchford both ended with 2.

Adri Jusczak led the Rebels with 12 points, Morgan Pracher and Libbie Ring each scored 9, Ally Bode ended with 8 while rounding out the scoring was Ava Szczyrbak with 2.

The Lumberjacks finish the regular season with a record of 12-13 overall, and the Rebels fall to 17-8 overall and they end the regular season this Friday night when they host Rush City at Moose Lake High School.
