MLA Boys Get 6-4 Road Win Over Mora-HF

Tyler Cisar scored four goals and the Moose Lake Area boys picked up a 6-4 road win over Mora/Hinckley/Finlayson on Tuesday night.

Cisar scored at 8:16 of the first period with Zach Cisar notching the assist and less than a minute later it was Jake Cisar scoring with Tyler and Zach Cisar picking up assists. Before the period ended the Mustangs pulled to within 2-1 on a power play goal by Michael Humphrey at 15:47.

Anthony Pasillas tied the score for the Mustangs at 4:55 of the second period, but the Rebels got back-to-back goals from Tyler Cisar at 10:48 and 12:50 to regain their two-goal edge at 4-2. Cisar’s first goal of the period was on the power play and assisted by Chris Gassert and Zach Cisar. The second goal by Tyler Cisar was assisted by Zach Cisar. Zach Cisar finished with six assists on the night.

Leading 4-2 entering the final period the Rebels picked up two more goals at 14:06 and 14:40 from Josh Cisar on the power play and an even strength goal from Tyler Cisar. Zach and Tyler Cisar assisted on Josh Cisar’s goal and Zach Cisar assisted on Tyler Cisar’s goal as the Rebels built the lead to 6-2.

The Mustangs made a last ditch effort to close the gap with a pair of goals at 9:29 and 13:53, but it was too little and too late for them to complete the comeback.

Austin Lanoue picked up the win in goal for the Rebels by making 32 saves on 36 shots, while the Rebels put 23 shots on Bronson Rosati in the Mustang net.
