In the 65th year of the Little Brown Jug game, the Wrenshall Wren’s hosted the Carlton Bulldogs. Wrenshall’s Luke Vine scored 15 second half points including 9 straight early in the second half, which was more than the Bulldogs of Carlton could over come as the Wrens won the Little Brown Jug for the third straight season, and the 23rd time in school history, winning 62-41. Carlton has won the Jug 42 times in their schools history.

The Wrens got out to an 18-8 lead in the first half, but the Bulldogs came roaring back, going on a 14-6 run to make it a 24-22 score heading into halftime. The second half would be a much different story as the Wrenshall Wrens came out running, outscoring the Bulldogs 38-19 to hold onto the Little Brown Jug for another season.

Vine led the Wrens with 17 points in the win. Following Vine was Jessie Ellerbe who tallied 11 points. Also scoring in the victory was Aaron Adkins with 8, Trent Olson with 6, Andrew Frank scoring 5, Kyle Laveau adding 4, Wyatt Holmes tallying 3, and Chase Morneau, Garrett Stavang, Carl Mattson, and Hunter Pauly all scored 2 points.
