The Duluth Clydesdales played the Dryden Ice Dogs even in 5 on 5 play, but three power play goals by the visitors proved to be the difference with the Clydesdales falling by a 3-0 score before a sparse crowd of 69 Sunday evening at the Heritage Center.

Dwight Lee broke open the scoring in the first period on a man-advantage marker halfway through the first period, and assisted on Austin Weih’s tally in the second and Thomas Greene’s third period goal on his way to first star honors for the evening.

Brett Timmerman took home second star honors, turning away all 27 shots faced for his fifth win and first shutout of the season, and Greene wrapped up the third star with that power play goal in the third and an assist on Lee’s goal.

Jeff Dunaisky took his 14th loss, kicking out 33 of 36. With the win Dryden (27-18-2) pulls within four points of third place in the S.I.J.H.L. while Duluth (10-35-2) falls further behind fifth place Sioux Lookout, who they will see Tuesday night at the Bay Area Civic Center in Ashland, WI.
