The Duluth Clydesdales (10-34-2) will host the Dryden Ice Dogs (26-18-1) Sunday afternoon in a critical game as both teams jockey for playoff position.

With the SIJHL first round using a 3 vs. 6, and 4 vs. 5 formats, mere points separate these two teams from matching up in first round, seven-game series. Adding to the excitement is they have not played each other since back to back Dryden wins at the Heritage December 10th and 11th, and former Ice Dog Jake Ransom will be playing in his first game against his former team since the December 19th trade that brought him to Duluth.

Sunday’s contest will be the third game in three days for the Ice Dogs, having played Friday and Saturday against the first place Wisconsin Wilderness in Spooner, while the Clydesdales have been resting since last Sunday’s 4-2 loss to the Lakers at home.

Warm-ups start at 3:30 with the puck dropping at 4:00 pm at the Heritage Sports Center.
