Two third period goals broke a 1-1 tie after two periods as the Duluth Northern Stars fell to the Andover Huskies Friday night at the Heritage Center in West Duluth by a score of 3-1.

Michelle Holmes broke the 1-1 at 4:50 of the third period to put the Huskies in front 2-1, and Nicole Sedey scored an empty net goal with one second remaining to preserve the victory.

Brionna Stafne tied the game in the second period after Andover had taken a 1-0 lead in the first period. Stafnes scored the game tying goal with assists to Ava Meyer and Avery Ziegler.

Kalei Kleive had 12 saves in the loss for the Northern Stars while Cassidy Stumo stopped 11 shots in the victory for the Huskies.
