Nate Pionk scored five goals Tuesday night and added one assist while Ryan Kero scored two goals and had five assists for a seven point night as the Hermantown Hawks crushed the Grand Rapids Thunderhawks by a score of 10-2 at the Hermantown Ice Arena.

Pionk scored the games first two goals and Kero notched the games third goal as the Hawks built up a 3-1 lead after one period. The Hawks then scored five second period goals, Kero and Pionk score the Hermantown’s fourth and fifth goals of the game, then it was Jared Zeleznikar, Kyle Admudson, and Matt Valure who made it 8-1 after two period of play.

Nate Pionk the finished off his five goal night by scoring the third periods first two goals to put the Hawks in front 10-1, Grand Rapids added a late goal to finish off the scoring.

Luke Olson was the winning goalie for the Hawks stopping 16 of the 18 shots he faced.
