Bombers Continue To Win

The Barnum Bombers are ranked 2nd in the state in Class AA and they continued to show why on Tuesday night, toppling the Cromwell Cardinals 64-49.

The Cardinals led the Bombers are the half, 26-23 but the Bombers came out with a different attitude in the second half, outscoring the Cardinals 41-23 to secure the 15 point victory.

Brandon Newman once again led the Bombers, scoring a game high 21 points. Nathan Jelinek followed with 11 and Mitchell Weller hit double digits with 10. Also scoring in the victory was Hunter Fetters with 8, Andrew Naslund with 6,  and Tanner Fuglestad and Chris Carlson each with 4.

In the loss for the Cardinals, Brandon Fairbanks had a team high 16 points. Zion Smith and Tyler Hakamaki each tallied 11, Austin Pfisthner scored 7, and Tyler Randall topped it off with 4.

The Bombers improve to 11-0 on the season and will play the Cook County Vikings on the road on January 9th. The Cardinals drop to 3-6 on the season and will look to bounce back on January 9th when they travel to play Silver Bay.
