Cromwell Flies Past Bombers

The Cromwell Cardinals traveled to take on the Barnum Bombers on Monday night, coming away with the 65-49 victory.

The Cardinals led the Bombers 32-26 at the half, but turned it on in the second half, outscoring the Bombers 33-23 to secure the 16 point victory.

Leading the balanced attack for the Cardinals was Chelsea Swatek who had a team high 14 points. Bailey Gronner and Teana Hakamaki followed with 13 and 11 respectively. Also scoring in the victory was Rachel Hutar with 9, Kaylan Risacher and Andrea Hakamaki with 7 each, and Kelly Susa and Olivia Cahoon topping it off with 2 points each.

In the loss for the Bombers, Emily Miletich had a game high 21 points. Cheyanna Johnson and Bailey Wheeler each scored 10, Emma Koski and Jaelyn Bushey tallied 3 a piece, and Megan Laine topped it off with 2 points.

The Cardinals remain unbeaten, now with an 8-0 record. They will look to continue that on January 8th when they host Mountain Iron-Buhl. The Bombers drop to 5-6 on the year and will look to bounce back on the road against Cook County on January 9th.
