Callie Hoff scored the hat trick and assisted on two Jillayne Gilbert goals Tuesday night as the Mirage defeated the Northern Stars by a score of 5-3 at the Heritage Center to improve to 12-2 on the season.

Jillayne Gilbert scored both 1st period goals for the Mirage as they took a 2-0 lead after the first period, Hoff assisted on both goals in the period.

Hoff would then score the first three goals of the second period to give the Mirage a 5-0 lead. Hoff scored just 15 seconds into the period with assists to Sophie McGovern and Gilbert which made it 3-0. Hoff then scored a unassisted goal at 3:21 of the period to make it 4-0and then she added her third goal of the period when she scored at 5:21 to make it 5-0 as the assists came from Mikayla Kero and Gilbert.

With the Mirage rolling the Northern Stars Avery Ziegler scored to make it 5-1 at 11:24 of the period. Gretta Johnson and Noelle Stellmaker assisted on the Ziegler goal.

The Northern Stars would take the play to the Mirage in the third period but could only manage two goals against the Mirage as the lost by two. Gretta Johnson scored at 5:51 with assists to Ziegler and Ava Meyer to make it 5-2. Izzy Sutherland made it 5-3 late in the period to cut the final margin to two goals.

The Northern Stars fall to 5-6-1 on the season with the loss. Amy Lemenager stopped 19 of the 22 shots she faced for the victory, and Kalei Kleive finished with 17 saves in the loss.
