Broman’s 44 Points Takes Down AlBrook-Cotton

Anders Broman was featured recently as one of the top scorers in the area. On Tuesday he showed why he is such an outstanding player, leading all scorers with 44 points as the Lions of Lakeview Christian Academy knocked off the AlBrook-Cotton Falcons by a score of 86-78.


Broman, who leads the Northland in scoring, averaging almost 38 points per game didn’t let the fans and crowd down at AlBrook Tuesday as he light up the scoreboard with 44 while hitting two three-pointers in the win.


The Lions led at halftime by a score of 46-37 in this shootout, and each team knocked out forty or over in the second half in this section match-up. The Lions continue their run at perfection as they move to 17-0 on the season. The Falcons did pour in thirteen three pointers on the night, which kept the game close throughout.


Broman led all scorers with 44 points for LCA. Teammate Luke Borchardt added 22 points in the win. The Falcons were led by Dominic Janke, who finished with 20 points, Dan Wood added 16, Bryce Karppinen 15, Kory Saver 12, Robbie McQuade added 9, Ryan Smith chipped in with 4, and Kody Karppinen closed the scoring with 2 points.


Lakeview Christian Academy improves to 17-0 on the season and they are in action again on Saturday when they play at Heritage Christian School. The Falcons fall to 6-8 overall and they are home again on Friday night when they will host the Cherry Tigers.
