Andover Comes back to tie East

After jumping to a 2-0 lead, Duluth East settled for a 2-2 tie at Andover in a high school boys hockey game Saturday afternoon.

Ash Altman and Ian Mageau scored goals for the Greyhounds, who out-shot the Huskies 43-18. Ash Altman’s goal gave the Greyhounds a 1-0 lead in the first period as assists went to Nick Altman and Reed Hill. This was a shorthanded goal for Duluth East.

Mageau then scored the Greyhounds second goal of the game as Mageau scored on the power play with assists to Nick Altman and Luke Dow.

Duluth East’s Gunner Howg had 16 saves in the tie.

Duluth East (1-1-1) will play host to Cloquet-Esko-Carlton on Thursday at 6 p.m. at Duluth Heritage Sports Center.
