One night after defeating Roseville in overtime the Marshall Hilltoppers  took on and shut out the State number three ranked Breck Mustangs at Mars Lakeview Arena by a score of 3-0.

Lane Krenzen gave the Hilltoppers all they needed as he scored a power play goal at 14:36 of the second period to put the Toppers in front 1-0. Jordan Fralich and Derek Farrell had the assists on the goal for Marshall.

The same two each picked up assists as Marshall made it 2-03 when John McKenna scored also a power play goal at 4:56 of the third period.

Alex Murray picked up the win in nets for the Toppers as he stopped all 31 shots he faced on the afternoon. Stephan Headrick stopped 30 of the 32 shots he faced for the Mustangs.
