A shorthanded goal by Frank Katzmarek just :18 seconds into the third period proved to be the game-winning goal for the Proctor Rails in boys hockey on Tuesday night in a 2-1 victory over the Princeton Tigers.

Randy Bauer gave the Rails a 1-0 lead just four minutes into the first period with an assist going to Cody Gauthier, but the Tigers rallied to tie the game at 15:04 on an unassisted goal by Jake Green.

Following Katzmarek’s second period tally there was no more scoring the rest of the way as the Rails improved to an impressive 10-4-0 on the season.
