The Barnum boys and girls basketball teams continued down the same path on Thursday night as both Bombers teams defeated Pine City. The boys knocked off the Dragons by a final score of 53-38, and the Lady Bombers hammered the Dragons by a final score of 96-33 as both teams stay unbeaten on the season.

The Barnum boys played two consistent halves of basketball in the fifteen point victory. The Bombers led 22-15 at halftime and outscored Pine City by eight in the second half to pick up the non-conference win.

The Lady Bombers moved to 10-0 on the season with the huge win over the Dragons Thursday. The Bombers jumped out to a halftime lead of 63-18 and never looked back as the number one ranked team in class A rounded out their portion of the 2010 schedule.

The Bombers hit ten three-pointers on the night, including three from Katie Myhre. Caitlan Rodgers, Jessica Newman, and Jaiden Cofield all hit two long range shots and Claudia Turner hit the last three pointer.

Jessica Newman led all scorers Thursday with 21 points. Daron Mainville added 19, Turner scored 13, Myhre punched in 11, Rodgers, Cofield, and Karianna Duesler all ended with 6 points. Cheyanne Johnson scored 4, and rounding out the scoring for Barnum was Peyton Bushey with 2.

The Lady Bombers will take their unbeaten record to Floodwood on Monday night when the Bombers will battle the Floodwood Polar Bears for the second time this season. The Bombers won the first meeting 65-52 in Barnum.
