Panthers beat Mercs

CULVER, Minn—The South Ridge Panthers beat McGregor 3-0 tonight and advance to to the quarterfinals in the Section 7A Volleyball playoffs.

The Panthers, sporting new uniforms, came out strong and never looked back. They beat the Merc’s 25-10, 25-9, and 25-15.

South Ridge was led by Senior Justice Janke with 15 kills and 5 ace serves. Junior Mallory Thibault added 9 kills and 7 digs, and Junior Lindsey Janke ended the night with 7 kills and 7 digs.

Senior setter Mikayla Olesiak had 25 set assists on the night, and Sophomore Marriah Janke added 6.

The Panthers advance to the quarterfinals of the Section 7A Playoffs and will take on Cook County on Friday night at 7 PM at South Ridge School.
