Proctor – Marshall Play to Tie

The Proctor Rails and the Duluth Marshall Hilltoppers played to a 1-1 ties Monday afternoon as the regular season came to an end for the fall sports season. Lexi DeWall opened the scoring for the Rails as she score at the 31st minute of the first half to put the Rails in front by a score of 1-0.

Jen Thiry added the assist on the DeWall goal. Four minutes later the Hilltoppers tied the match at 1-1 when Alli McKenna scored an unassisted goal. That would be all the scoring on the afternoon as these two teams ended their regular season tied at 1-1.

Anna Thickens finished with 18 saves for the Hilltoppers and it was Chiara DeLuca who had 5 saves for the Rails.

Marshall finises the season 7-7-1 overall and they will host Hibbing Thursday night in the opening round of the section 7A playoffs.

The Rails close out their season with a record of 6-7-2 and they will face North Branch Thursday night at home in the section 7A playoffs.
