DULUTH, MINN: The Clydesdales dropped to last place in the Superior International Junior Hockey League as the visiting Sioux Lookout Flyers got the come-from-behind 4-3 win Sunday night at the Heritage Sports Center.

After playing the first period even at 1-1 on goals by Dane Morin for Duluth and Ryan Presthus for Sioux Lookout, the Clydesdales controlled the action in the middle period, outshooting the Flyers 17-4 and scoring twice, newcomer Jacob Ransom with his first since joining Duluth and a power play marker from Joe Nelson.

The Flyers climbed back into it in the first half of the third on two power play goals of their own, one each from Ryan Tonogai and Brett Wur, and went ahead 4-3 on an unassisted effort by Darnell Ferland with 7:41 to play. That proved to be the final score of the game, as the Clydesdales dropped another game and fell to 7-21-2 and last place in the league despite outshooting the Flyers 47-32.

Jesse Wilkins earned his fifth win of the season for Sioux Lookout, stopping 44, and Jeff Dunaisky lost his seventh, saving 28. Duluth heads to Wisconsin on Wednesday night to take on the Wilderness.
