Panthers sweep Hilltoppers

CULVER, Minn.— The South Ridge Panthers increase their record to 10-1 with a 3-0 win over the Duluth Marshall Hilltoppers last night at home. The Panthers won with scores of 25-16, 25-14, and 25-18.

The Panthers were led by Senior Justice Janke with 17 kills and 10 digs. Junior Lindsey Janke added 7 kills and 6 digs, followed by Junior Mallory Thibault with 5 kills and 7 digs. Sohpomore Marriah Janke ended the night with 5 kills. Senior Setter Mikayla Olesiak had 31 set assists on the night and 100% serving. Junior Krystal Karppinen played very well defensively with 8 digs and 2 ace serves.

The Hilltoppers were led by Freshman Aleksie Rengel with an amazing 23 digs on the night, she also had 2 ace serves for Duluth Marshall. Junior Setter Hannah Matthews added 10 digs, 7 set assists, and 1 kill.

Duluth Marshall will be in action Saturday at an Invitational Tournament. And back to regular season at Wrenshall on Monday.

The South Ridge Panthers will play in Barnum Thursday, they will take on the Bombers at 7 p.m.
