South Ridge Falls To North Woods

The South Ridge Panthers lost their first game of the year Friday night, falling to North Woods 12-0 in the closely contested game.

North Woods scored in the 1st quarter off a Travis Hooper 31 yard run to give them an early 6-0 lead. It wasn’t until the 4th quarter that the Grizzlies would score again, when Hooper ran from 47 yards out to give North Woods the 12-0 victory over the previously unbeaten Panthers.

Reid Clark had 114 yards on the ground for the Panthers on 22 carries and Cole Watkins brought down 15 runners to lead the Panthers.

The Panthers drop to 3-1 on the year and will look to bounce back against Mountain Iron-Buhl at home on September 26th . North Woods improves to 4-0 on the year.
