A three touchdown flurry late in the game on Friday helped secure Proctor’s 34-6 Sea Range Conference win over Greenway/Nashwauk-Keewatin in Proctor.

Leading just 14-6 with a little over seven minutes remaining in the game the Rails exploded for three straight touchdowns. The fireworks began when Dominic Napoli took a punt and bolted 79-yards for a touchdown and after Luke Hannan knocked through the extra point kick the Rails had a 21-0 lead. That however, was just the beginning for the Rails.

Next up it was Jack Chalstrom racing 35-yards to paydirt and then it was Jake Wick slicing his way seven yards for a score giving the Rails a 34-6 cushing that they would never relinquish.

Jake Malec, who led all rushers in the game with 100 yards on the ground, started the scoring for Proctor by zipping to an 18-yard score in the first half making it 6-0 after a failed two-point conversion run.

GNK tied the score on the next drive when Spencer Potter slammed in from the five-yard line making it 6-6. Malec answered quickly for the Rails with a nifty 20-yard touchdown run late in the first half and after a Travis Carlson catch for a two-point conversion the Rails were up 14-6 at intermission.

Proctor improved to 2-2 overall on the season and 2-1 in the Sea Range Conference, while the Titans drop to 1-3 overall and 1-2 in the conference.
