It took extra time, but the Proctor Rails were able to prevail 2-1 over Cloquet-Carlton in girls soccer on Thursday night at home. Lexie DeWall scored her second goal of the game in the second overtime giving the Rails the hard-earned win.

DeWall gave the Rails a 1-0 lead off an assist by Lyndsay Burud in just the 11th minute, but the Jacks bounced back with a late second half goal by Anna Fossen which tied the game at 1-1. Fossen’s goal came in the 64th minute.

CC goalie Alissa Chalberg had an amazing 20 saves for the Jacks, but it wasn’t enough as Madison Baker recorded seven saves for the Rails.
