Hunters fell to 0-3 Friday night as the Hunters dropped a 30-14 Mississippi Conference match-up at Public School Stadium.
The Hunters, who were looking for their first win of the season, saw the Tigers score first on a Michael Schimming touchdown run to give the Tigers a 7-0 lead after one quarter. The Hunters answered back in the second quarter when Terrance Wenzel scored to cut the lead to 7-6.
Princeton made it 14-6 following a touchdown pass midway through the second quarter, but again Denfeld answered back when Tommy Jackson connected with Cale Huie on an 18 yard touchdown pass, and Jackson connected on the two point conversion with a pass to Kadien Ferguson.
The only scoring in the third quarter was a safety by the Tigers to give Princeton a 16-14 lead after three quarters of play, that was followed by two fourth quarter rushing touchdowns to seal the Tigers victory.
Denfeld falls to 0-3 on the season and they will face the North Branch Vikings down in North Branch next Friday. The Tigers improve to 3-0 and they will host Chisago Lakes next Friday night.
