Jacks drop Rebels

The Cloquet girls team picked up an impressive victory in local volleyball circles on Tuesday night when they defeated Moose Lake-Willow River 3-1.

The host Jacks won 25-21, 23-25. 25-11 and 25-18 and got a particularly impressive perforamce from Alex Oakes who finished with 17-set assists, 10-digs, eight blocks and six ace serves.

Sami Westendorf added 14-set assists and 10-kills, while Hazel Erickson chipped in with five kills, four ace services and 13 digs. Anna Hansmeyer also was strong for the Jacks with eight kills and three ace serves.

The Rebels Adri Jusczak had nine kills, Karina Cisar added six kills, Lauren Rose had 13 set assists and four aces in the loss.
