Denfeld Tops Hibbing 3-1

The Duluth Denfeld Hunters topped the Hibbing Bluejackets on Tuesday night. The Hunters won the matchup 3-1 in the Section match-up.

Duluth Denfeld kicked off the scoring when Marques Jones scored off of a Ben Scrignoli assist in the 8th minute to put them up 1-0. In the 29th minute, Scrignoli hit the back of the net from a Mark Foldesi pass in the 29th minute to put the Hunters up 2-0 going into the half.

In the second half, Jones scored his second goal of the game, coming in the 58th minute when Andrew Washechek connected with him for the goal. Hibbing would finally get on the board in the 65th minute when Tyler Thronson scored with the assist coming from Parker Osbourne.

Nate Regas stopped 3 shots for the Hunters. George Hanomaki blocked 11 and Wesley Martinson stopped 4 for Hibbing.

Denfeld improves to 4-4 on the season and will play on September 16th when they host the Hermantown Hawks (6-1-2). The Bluejackets fall to 1-5 on the year.
