The CEC Lumberjacks won again on Tuesday afternoon, taking down the Duluth Marshall Hilltoppers 1-0.

Ben Pietsch scored the lone goal for the Lumberjacks, coming in the 9th minute off of a Dalton Johnson assist. Pietsch had a few more scoring opportunities, hitting the cross bar midway through the 1st half and then hitting the post in the 2nd half.

While the Hilltoppers came out on the losing side, there was a morale victory for them as they controlled the tempo throughout the game and had the possession advantage.

Halen Danielson blocked 6 shots in the shutout victory for CEC, while Nic Semaan stopped 3 for the Hilltoppers.

The Lumberjacks improve to 4-2 on the season and will play on the road again the Hermantown Hawks (4-1-1) on September 4th. The game will start at 7:00 PM. The Hilltoppers drop to 1-5-1 and will look to hault their 4 game losing streak on September 4th when they host the Grand Rapids Thunderhawks (0-4-1). That game will start at 4:30 PM.
