Bulldogs Fall Sports Preview

The Carlton Bulldogs look to have another successful fall throughout their sports as they look to capture another Section 7A title in volleyball, while look to be competitive in football and cross country.

The Bulldogs volleyball team made their 3rd appearance to the State Tournament since 2003 and will look to make it their 4th this season. Graduating only one, the Bulldogs return their entire roster from last years Section 7A championship team. The Bulldogs opened up their season on August 26th with a 3-0 sweep over Deer River. Their next game will be on September 2nd when they travel to take on South Ridge before they play their home opener on August 4th.

The football team looks to improve on last years 0-8 record. The Bulldogs return their entire roster and will look to use last years experience and turn it into a successful season. The Bulldogs will play Kelliher/Northome on the road on August 29th before they make their home opener on September 5th against Onamia.

Cross Country will look to send some more runners to the State Meet. They have their first meet on August 28th when they travel to Cook County.
