The Esko Eskomos will look to capture some Section titles this fall in volleyball, soccer and football and they will also look to send some runners down to the Cross Country State meet.

The Esko football team ended up with a 7-4 record and a Section 7AAA runners-up trophy. Graduating many of their starters, the Eskomos will have 12 seniors leading the way. The Eskomos open their season up on August 29th at home against the Cloquet Lumberjacks.

The volleyball team will look to improve on their 19-9 record from a year ago and will look to advance deep into the 7AA playoffs. They will rely on a large group of juniors to propel them this season. They opened their season up on August 26th against the Hermantown Hawks, who they beat in 4 matches. The Eskomos next game will be on August 28th at home against Hibbing.

In girls soccer, the Eskomos will only have one senior returning and will also bring back six juniors. They opened their season up on August 22nd against Rosemount, falling 4-0. They also fell to Cloquet-Carlton 2-1 on August 26th. They will look to get their first win on August 28th when they travel to take on Princeton.

In boys soccer, Esko is in a co-op with Cloquet and Carlton. They have started their season 1-1, falling 3-0 to Rochester Lourdes and topping Superior 7-0. They will look to pick up another victory on August 27th when they play Mounds View.

Cross Country this year only has one senior but will be returning four juniors and seven sophomores. Their first meet will be on August 28th when they travel to Virginia.
