Eskomos To Face Stewartville In State Tournament

Although they sported the second best record among the eight Class AA teams to make the Minnesota High School State Volleyball tournament, the Esko Eskomos (28-1) did not get one of the top four seeds and were placed in a random draw. By luck of the draw the Eskomos will face #4 seed Stewartville High School (25-5) in the first round of playoff action Thursday at 5:00pm at the Xcel Energy Center.

Hutchinson H.S. (25-3) received the top seed and will face Visitation H.S. (25-5). The only unbeaten team in the tournament, Wadena-Deer Creek H.S (30-0) faces off against Delano H.S. The fourth quarterfinal matchup pits #3 seed Marshall H.S. against Sauk Centre H.S (27-5).
