Leave no doubt! That could have very well been what the Esko football team was thinking when they walloped Eveleth-Gilbert 42-0 in harsh conditions on Tuesday night in Esko.

Playing in a driving rain with snow flurries and winds reach 40 miles per hour the Eskomos relied early in the game on crafty quarterback Max Reinertsen who rushed for four touchdowns as well as picking up 203-yards on the ground on just 14 carries.

Before the first quarter ended Reinertsen had raced for three touchdowns on runs of 63, 51 and six yards respectively. Jesse Lonetto added a two-point conversion on the third score making it 20-0 for the Eskomos.

Connor Tollerud tacked on an 11-yard run in the second quarter as the Eskomos built a 26-0 halftime lead.

In the third quarter it was Lonetto, who finished with 92-rushing yards, bulling his way in for a one-yard touchdown and then Lonetto also added a two-point conversion run making it 34-0 Esko.

The Eskomos ended the scoring in the fourth quarter when Reinertsen added his final score of the game on a 31-yard touchdown dash and Lonetto secured the two-points on a conversion run making it 42-0. Reinertsen finished with 203 rushing yards on 14 carries.

Esko will now move on to the Section 7AA semi-finals against Braham on Saturday.
