Bombers Season Ends

The Barnum Bombers fell Thursday afternoon and night to be eliminated form the section 7A baseball playoffs as the spring sports baseball playoffs continue to see upsets across the northland.

The Bombers one of the two top seeds in the tournament had opened with two wins Tuesday over both McGregor and Cook County to advance to Thursdays play in the sectional tournament.

The Bombers fell to Little Fork-Big Falls by a score of 6-5 as the Vikings rallied from five runs down, scoring 2 runs in the top of the fifth inning and 4 more in the top of the seventh to claim the one run victory.

Taylor DeLack pitched the complete game for the Vikings as the Vikings move on to face Ely in the battle of two unbeaten teams.

Mitch Weller and Chris Carlson both had two hits in the loss for the Bombers and Tommy Ziegler drove in a pair of runs in the loss.

Following the loss to the Vikings the Bombers lost a heartbreaker to the Panters of South Ridge by a score of 9-7 as the Bombers end the season with an overall record of 9-6.
