Bulldogs & Panthers play Tuesday

The Carlton Bulldogs and the South Ridge Panthers are both looking to dethrone the

three time defending section 7A Champion Cherry Tigers, but for either team the

road will be long as both teams to dethrone the Champions will have to come

through the loser bracket to make the trip to Caswell Park in North Mankato.

Carlton who went 1-1 in the section 7A double elimination tournament started action

with a 10-1 victory over the Ely Timberwolves before falling to the Vikings of Little

Fork-Big Falls by a score of 13-8, as the Vikings came from behind to knock off the

Bulldogs.

The Panthers fell in hteir first match-up to the same Vikings squad by a score of 10-4

before rebounding and knocking off Ely by a score of 8-6. The Panthers will play

Greenway at noon Tuesday in Cohasset, while the Bulldogs will face Nashwauk-

Keewatin. The winners will meet at 2 pm and that will will face the loser of Little

Fork-Big Falls and Cherry.
